SodaStream International Ltd. (Nasdaq: SODA) reported higher fourth quarter earnings and revenue but the stock price fell $6.75 to close at $40.75 as investors locked in profits.   

GenOn Energy Inc. (NYSE: GEN) swung to a profit for the fourth quarter lifting the stock price 16 cents to close at $2.46.

The Transportation Department delayed rules that required rearview video cameras in new cars weighing down shares of auto mirror maker Gentex Corp. (Nasdaq: GNTX) $3.99 to close at $23.65. 

First Solar Inc. (Nasdaq: FSLR) blamed a significant accounting charge for falling to an unexpected loss for the fourth quarter of $4.78 per share compared with income of $1.80 per share last year and cut its revenue outlook for 2012.   

Monday's upbeat pending home sales report lifted shares of D. R. Horton Inc. (NYSE: DHI) 45 cents to close at $14.34, Lennar Corp. (NYSE: LEN) 87 cents to close at $23.38 and PulteGroup Inc. (NYSE: PHM) 52 cents to close at $8.82.

Fourth quarter earnings slipped for CenterPoint Energy Inc. (NYSE: CNP) to 27 cents per share from 29 cents per share a year earlier but the results topped analyst estimates lifting the stock price 97 cents to close at $19.49.

Apollo Group Inc. (Nasdaq: APOL) lowered its new student enrollment numbers for the second quarter and cut its operating profit for the year sending the stock price plummeting $8.36 to close at $43.04. 

Office Depot Inc. (NYSE: ODP) swung to a better than expected profit for the fourth quarter of 4 cents per share compared with a loss of 39 cents per share last year. Shares of the office supplies retailer climbed 57 cents to close at $3.59.

Vivus Inc. (Nasdaq: VVUS) will sell 8.5 million shares of common stock sending the stock price tumbling $2.52 to close at $21.26.   

Southwestern Energy Co. (NYSE: SWN) reported higher fourth quarter earnings of 45 cents per share compared with 43 cents per share last year but the results missed expectations prompting a downgrades. The stock price plunged $2.46 to $32.87.

Cablevision Systems Corp. (NYSE: CVC) reported sharply lower fourth quarter earnings of 22 cents per share compared with 38 cents per share a year earlier even as revenue rose to top estimates. The stock price dropped $1.51 to $14.13.   

Pacific Ethanol Inc. (Nasdaq: PEIX) reported a wider than expected loss for the fourth quarter of 3 cents per share compared with a loss of $1.00 per share in the year ago period. The stock price tumbled 39 cents to $1.22.   

Transocean Ltd. (NYSE: RIG) widened fourth quarter losses to $18.62 per share from $2.51 per share in the year ago period due to a goodwill impairment charge and estimated losses for the Deepwater Horizon oil spill but revenue climbed to top estimates. The stock price climbed $2.70 to close at $53.43.

Cemex (NYSE: CX) commenced an exchange offer for Euro-denominated notes and Perpetual Debentures for new senior notes in Dollars or Euros lifting the stock price 37 cents to close at $7.73. 

Nokia Corp. (NYSE: NOK) denied rumors that the company was engaged in discussions to merge with Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT). Shares of Nokia lost 36 cents to close at $5.44 while Microsoft stock slipped 13 cents to close at $31.35.

Dendreon Corp. (Nasdaq: DNDN) swung to a profit for the fourth quarter of 26 cents per share compared with a loss of 64 cents per share in the year ago period but warned of significant charges in the first quarter and forecast lower than expected sales of Provenge in the first quarter. Shares of the biotechnology company planed $2.91 to $11.95.  

ATP Oil & Gas Corp. (Nasdaq: ATPG) reported that first oil production at its fourth well at the Telemark Hub met expectations and that production rate will increase. The stock price soared $1.63 to $8.75.

Shares of Pacific Ethanol Inc. (Nasdaq: PEIX) climbed 19 cents to $1.58 ahead of its earnings release after market close.

Hewlett-Packard Co. (NYSE: HPQ) disappointed with sharply lower fourth quarter earnings of 73 cents per share compared with $1.17 per share a year earlier and forecast current quarter results below analyst estimates. The stock price tumbled $1.89 to close at $27.05.

Safeway Inc. (NYSE: SWY) blamed higher commodity expenses for lower fourth quarter earnings. Shares of the grocery store chain dropped $1.72 to close at $20.95.

Sprint Nextel Corp. (NYSE: S) introduced its New Ventures to assist its partners improve efficiency while lowering costs and increasing revenue. The stock price rose 29 cents to close at $2.52. 

Genco Shipping & Trading Ltd. (NYSE: GNK) priced its offering of 7.5 million common shares at the discounted price of $7.10 per share sending the stock price tumbling $1.05 to $7.16.   

A Food and Drug Administration advisory committee recommended approval for Vivus Inc.'s (Nasdaq: VVUS) obesity treatment Qnexa. The news also lifted rival Orexigen Therapeutics Inc. (Nasdaq: OREX). Shares of Vivus leaped $9.22 to $19.77 while Orexigen stock climbed 55 cents to $3.76. 

GrafTech International Ltd. (NYSE: GTI) reported lower fourth quarter earnings of 31 cents per diluted share compared with 36 cents per diluted share in the year ago period that missed estimates. The stock price plunged $2.38 to $13.04.

Newfield Exploration Co. (NYSE: NFX) reported fourth quarter earnings of 51 cents per diluted share compared with 17 cents per diluted share last year but the results fell short of analyst estimates prompting downgrades. The stock price plummeted $5.37 to close at $36.88.

Shares of Threshold Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: THLD) continued rising by jumping $1.02 to close at $6.03 after reporting upbeat results from a midstage clinical trial of its pancreatic cancer treatment TH-302 yesterday.

Nabors Industries Ltd. (NYSE: NBR) fell to a loss for the fourth quarter of 36 cents per share compared with income of 17 cents per share a year earlier but the results were better than expected. Shares of the drilling contractor climbed $1.42 to close at $21.78.

Yingli Green Energy Holding Co. (NYSE: YGE) warned that shipments in the fourth quarter will be lower than expected. The stock price slipped 23 cents to $4.58.   

Fourth quarter earnings climbed for Garmin Ltd. (Nasdaq: GRMN) to 85 cents per share from 68 cents per share a year earlier surpass analyst expectations by a wide margin sending the stock price soaring $4.24 to $48.92.

Chico's FAS Inc. (NYSE: CHS) reported higher fourth quarter earnings of 15 cents per share compared with 12 cents per share in the year ago period that topped analyst estimates as revenue rose. Shares of the women's retailer climbed $1.67 to $14.48.

Food and Drug Administration staff recommended denial of approval for Chelsea Therapeutics International Ltd.'s (Nasdaq: CHTP) hypotension treatment Northera sending the stock price tumbling 71 cents to close at $2.64.  

Hecla Mining Co. (NYSE: HL) reversed year ago losses of 5 cents per share to post a profit for the fourth quarter of 7 cents per share. The stock price rose 46 cents to close at $5.48. 

The Food and Drug Administration approved Corcept Therapeutics Inc.'s (Nasdaq: CORT) Korlym to treat high blood sugar in Cushing's Syndrome patients sending the stock price soaring $1.42 to close at $4.45. 

Rising crude oil prices weighed down shares of Delta Air Lines Inc. (NYSE: DAL) $1.22 to $9.61, United Continental Holdings (NYSE: UAL) $2.62 to $20.75 and U. S. Airways Group Inc. (NYSE: LCC) $1.11 to $7.79. 

Weatherford International Ltd. (NYSE: WFT) must restate financials from 2011 through 2008 and possibly in prior years sending the stock price tumbling $2.25 to $15.55.   

Threshold Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: THLD) reported positive results from a Phase 2b clinical trial of its pancreatic cancer treatment TH-302. Shares of the biotechnology firm leaped $2.21 to $5.74.

Aruba Networks Inc. (Nasdaq: ARUN) widened second quarter losses to 11 cents per share from 3 cents per share in the year ago period even as revenue climbed. The stock price tumbled $2.47 to close at $22.18. 

Suntech Power Holdings Co. Ltd. (NYSE: STP) said that fourth quarter shipments were better than expected, expects revenue to beat analyst expectations and raised its full year outlook. Shares of the solar energy company rose 28 cents to close at $3.65.

Achillion Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: ACHN) reported upbeat preclinical results for its Phase 2 pan-genotypic protease inhibitor ACH-1625 sending the stock price soaring $2.29 to close at $11.04.

General Mills Inc. (NYSE: GIS) lowered its full year guidance citing soft sales sending the stock price tumbling $1.62 to $38.16. 

Gilead Sciences Inc. (Nasdaq: GILD) reported disappointing results from a trial of its hepatitis C treatment GS-7977. Shares of the biopharmaceutical plummeted $8.19 to $46.62.

The European Medicines Agency's Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use granted a positive opinion for conditional approval for Cell Therapeutics Inc.'s (Nasdaq: CTIC) Pixuvri sending the stock price soaring 25 cent to $1.36. 

Ultra Petroleum Corp. (NYSE: UPL) reported fourth quarter earnings of 58 cents per share compared with 50 cents per share a year earlier to fall short of expectations and the company announced cuts to its capital spending. Shares of the oil and natural gas company dropped $1.52 to close at $23.72. 

Fourth quarter earnings for TRW Automotive Holdings Corp. (NYSE: TRW) more than doubled to $3.57 per share from $1.56 per share in the year ago period to surpass analyst expectations by a wide margin. The stock price leaped $5.96 to close at $47.43.

General Motors Co. (NYSE: GM) reported a record profit of $7.6 billion for 2011 sending the stock price up $2.24 to close at $27.17.

Avis Budget Group Inc. (Nasdaq: CAR) widened fourth quarter losses to $1.62 per share from 23 cents per share even as revenue rose sending the stock price tumbling $1.95 to $12.64.

Hyperdynamics Corp. (NYSE: HDY) discovered oil shows at its Sabu-1 exploration well indicating that larger volumes of oil had been in the reservoirs but had leaked out over time. The stock price tumbled 64 cents to $1.39.

Grupo Elecktra will pay a premium of approximately $656 million in cash to acquire short term lender Advance America, Cash Advance Centers Inc. (NYSE: AEA) sending the stock price soaring $2.56 to $10.47. 

Dean Foods Co. (NYSE: DF) narrowed fourth quarter losses more than expected to 5 cents per share from losses of 11 cents per share last year and forecast first quarter results ahead of estimates. The stock price climbed $1.12 to close at $11.99.

Fourth quarter earnings dropped for Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (NYSE: ANF) to 22 cents per share from $1.03 per share a year earlier but the company forecast 2013 earnings ahead of estimates. Shares of the apparel retailer soared $3.71 to close at $48.30. 

Fourth quarter earnings slipped for Devon Energy Corp. (NYSE: DVN)  to $1.25 per share from $1.29 per share in the year ago period but the results beat analyst expectations. The stock price leaped $4.80 to close at $71.70.

Vonage Holdings Corp. (NYSE: VG) reported higher fourth quarter earnings of $1.48 per share compared with a loss of 19 cents per share a year earlier but warned of lower 2012 results as the company invests in strategic growth initiatives. Shares of the broadband communication services provider lost 38 cents to $2.35. 

Zynga Inc. (Nasdaq: ZNGA) widened first quarter losses to $1.22 per share from 5 cents per share in the year ago period due to significant stock compensation costs. Shares of the online game developer tumbled $1.97 to $12.38.  

Jefferies expects Juniper Networks Inc. (NYSE: JNPR) to benefit from increased spending by AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T). Shares of Juniper leaped $2.22 to $24.79 while AT&T stock eased 13 cents to $29.94.

Masco Corp. (NYSE: MAS) reported a larger than expected loss for the fourth quarter of 9 cents per share compared with a loss of 8 cents per share a year earlier. The stock price dropped $1.67 to $11.56.

Michael Kors Holdings Ltd. (NYSE: KORS) reported higher third quarter earnings of 20 cents per share compared with 16 cents per share in the year ago period and revenue that beat analyst expectations. The women's apparel and accessories designer forecast full year results well ahead of estimates sending the stock price soaring $8.23 to $41.84. 

Energy Conversion Devices Inc.(Nasdaq: ENER) filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection sending the stock price plummeting $1.18 to $0.28.  

A Seeking Alpha contributor wrote that DryShips Inc. (Nasdaq: DRYS) was attractively priced lifting the stock price 34 cents to close at $3.34. 

AmerisourceBergen Corp. (NYSE: ABC) chief financial officer Michael DiCandilo resigned effective immediately. The stock price fell $1.39 to close at $37.21.

The Mayo Clinic selected Complete Genomics Inc. (Nasdaq: GNOM) to provide outsourced whole human genome sequencing sending the stock price soaring $1.37 to close at $4.66.

Shares of Arch Coal Inc. (NYSE: ACI) continued falling by losing 52 cents to $13.87 after reporting fourth quarter earnings and revenue on Friday that fell short of expectations and announcing production cuts at it Dugout Canyon mine.

Chelsea Therapeutics International Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHTP) will discuss questions today at the BIO CEO and Investor Conference that the Food and Drug Administration posed while reviewing its New Drug Application for NORTHERA. Shares of the pharmaceutical plunged $1.76 to $3.23.

Linden Capital Partners will take SeraCare Life Sciences Inc. (Nasdaq: SRLS) private in a deal valued at approximately $80 million. The stock price rose 35 cents to $3.93.

XL Group (NYSE: XL) blamed an impairment charge for falling to an unexpected loss for the fourth quarter of $1.62 per share compared with earnings of 57 cents per share a year earlier. Shares of the insurer dropped $1.74 to close at $19.27.

Petroleo Brasileiro (NYSE: PBR) announced that a rupture of a rise pipe will shutter production for sixty days at its Carioca Northeast field sending the stock price tumbling $2.42 to close at $29.57. 

LinkedIn Corp. (NYSE: LNKD) reported sharply higher fourth quarter earnings that more than doubled to $6.9 million or 6 cents per share from $1.6 million or 3 cents per share in the year ago period to surpass analyst expectations. The stock price leaped $13.57 to close at $89.96.

Nuance Communications Inc. (Nasdaq: NUAN) swung to a profit for the first quarter of 3 cents per share but the results fell short of expectations sending the stock price plummeting $3.78 to $26.67.  

Cobalt International Energy Inc. (NYSE: CIE) reported better than expected results from pre-salt exploration prospects at a deep sea oil well offshore of Angola. The stock price leaped $8.77 to $32.67.

Alcatel-Lucent (NYSE: ALU) reported a better than expected profit for the fourth quarter and swung to a profit for the full year lifting the stock price 25 cents to $2.19.

Groupon Inc. (Nasdaq: GRPN) disappointed with an unexpected loss for the fourth quarter of 8 cents per share even as revenue surged. The stock price plunged $3.41 to close at $21.17.

Fourth quarter earnings rose for TripAdvisor Inc. (Nasdaq: TRIP) to 16 cents per share from 14 cents per share in the year ago period but the results fell far short of analyst expectations sending the stock price plummeting $5.00 to close at $29.34. 

Diamond Foods Inc. (Nasdaq: DMND) must restate financial results for two years and will replace its chief executive and chief financial officer after an internal audit revealed improper accounting related to payments for walnut growers. Shares of the snack products company plummeted $13.33 to $23.33.

Oracle Corp. (Nasdaq: ORCL) will pay a premium of approximately $1.9 billion to acquire management software solutions company Taleo (Nasdaq: TLEO). Shares of Oracle eased 9 cents to $28.64 will Taleo stock leaped $6.71 to $45.65.

A Seeking Alpha article listed Yingli Green Energy Holding Co. (NYSE: YGE) as one of four solar companies that top fund managers are acquiring. The stock price climbed 70 cents to $5.60.

Apollo Investment Corp. (Nasdaq: AINV) reported lower third quarter earnings of 32 cents per share compared with 43 cents per share a year earlier and may raise up to $200 million through an equity offering. The stock price dropped 83 cents to close at $7.11.

Fourth quarter earnings for Western Union Co. (NYSE: WU) nearly doubled to 73 cents per share from 37 cents per share a year earlier but the money transfer services firm forecast 2012 results far short of analyst expectations sending the stock price tumbling $1.97 to close at $17.73. 

OpenTable Inc. (Nasdaq: OPEN) reported higher fourth quarter earnings that beat analyst expectations of 29 cents per share compared with 21 cents per share in the year ago period but the restaurant reservation service warned of slower growth in the first quarter prompting downgrades. The stock price plummeted $6.05 to close at $45.40. 

Teekay Tankers Ltd. (NYSE: TNK) priced its public offering of 15 million common shares at the discounted price of $4 per share sending the stock price down 54 cents to $3.99.  

Computer Sciences Corp. (NYSE: CSC) swung to a third quarter loss of $8.96 per share from earnings of $1.57 per share in the year ago period but the results were better than expected.

The stock price of casino-entertainment provider Caesars Entertainment  Corp. (Nasdaq: CZR) soared $7.22 to $16.22 on its first trading day. 

Falling demand for coal weighed down shares of Alpha Natural Resources Inc. (NYSE: ANR) $1.23 to close at $22.31 and Patriot Coal Corp. (NYSE: PCX) 59 cents to close at $8.62.  

SolarWinds Inc. (NYSE: SWI) reported higher fourth quarter earnings that beat expectations of 22 cents per share compared with 21 cents per share a year earlier. The stock price jumped $3.09 to close at $36.36.

NCRCorp.  (NYSE: NCR) swung to a fourth quarter loss of 8 cents per share compared with earnings of 20 cents per share in the year ago period but the results were better than expected as revenue climbed. The stock price leaped $2.16 to close at $21.19.

TheStreet listed BioSante Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: BPAX) as one of six overvalued biotech stocks saying that it does not have any viable products in its pipeline sending the stock price tumbling 15 cents to $0.90.  

Standard Pacific Corp. (NYSE: SPF) reversed year ago losses of 8 cents per share to post a better than expected profit for the fourth quarter of 4 cents per share lifting the stock price 66 cents to $4.71.

Fourth quarter earnings for Coinstar Inc. (Nasdaq: CSTR) nearly tripled to $1 per share from 35 cents per share in the year ago period to surpass analyst expectations by a wide margin as more people used its Redbox DVD rental kiosks. The stock price leaped $9.26 to $59.82.

DryShips Inc. (Nasdaq: DRYS) unit Ocean Rig won a $653 million contract to drill 15 wells on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The stock price gained 40 cents to close at $2.81.

Express Scripts Inc. (Nasdaq: ESRX) announced a second senior notes offering to raise capital to fund its acquisition of Medco Health Solutions Inc. (NYSE: MHS). Shares of Express Scripts tumbled $2.42 to close at $49.67 while Medco Health stock plunged $5.14 to close at $58.47.

Fourth quarter earnings for Sohu.com Inc. (Nasdaq: SOHU) beat analyst expectations but the company forecast current quarter results well below estimates sending the stock price plummeting $9.64 to close at $53.41.  

Shares of Threshold Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: THLD) continued rising by climbing 76 cents to $3.75 after announcing a partnership with Merck on Friday to co-develop and commercialize its cancer treatment TH-302.

Title insurer Fidelity National will acquire casual dining chain operator O'Charley's Inc. (Nasdaq: CHUX) in a deal valued at approximately $221 million. The stock price leaped $2.89 to $9.81.

The Food and Drug Administration's critical review of Amgen Inc.'s (Nasdaq: AMGN) prostate cancer treatment Xgeva lifted shares of rival Dendreon Corp. (Nasdaq: DNDN), whose prostate cancer treatment Provenge was approved in April 2010. Shares of Amgen eased 60 cents to $68.88 while Dendreon stock surged $2.47 to $16.64.

Infinera Corp. (Nasdaq: INFN) widened fourth quarter losses to 18 cents per share from 3 cents per share a year earlier but the results were better than expected sending the stock price soaring $1.07 to close at $8.38. 

Fourth quarter earnings slipped for Power-One Inc. (Nasdaq: PWER) to 21 cents per share from 35 cents per share in the year ago period but the results beat analyst expectations lifting the stock price 76 cents to close at $5.28. 

The Food and Drug Administration removed its partial clinical hold on Idenix Pharmaceuticals Inc.'s (Nasdaq: IDIX) hepatitis C treatment IDX184 but investors were concerned that competitors may develop their drugs first. The stock price tumbled $1.51 to close at $11.68.

MannKind (Nasdaq: MNKD) priced its public offering of more than 31 million units at $2.40 per unit. Shares of the biopharmaceutical dropped 32 cents to $2.15.  

Threshold Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: THLD) and Merck will jointly develop and commercialize Threshold's cancer treatment TH-302. Shares of Threshold more than doubled by leaping $1.39 to $2.68.

Genworth Financial Inc. (NYSE: GNW) reversed year ago losses of 33 cents per share to post a better than expected profit for the fourth quarter of 22 cents per share. The stock price climbed $1.07 to $9.11.

Patriot Coal Corp. (NYSE: PCX) fell to a fourth quarter loss of 42 cents per share compared with earnings of 8 cents per shares in the year ago period as coal demand weekend. Investors welcomed news that the coal producer will idle its Big Mountain thermal coal complex. The stock price gained 83 cents to close at $8.55. 

Cemex (NYSE: CX) reported higher fourth quarter earnings and revenue lifting the stock price 75 cents to close at $7.86.

Gap Inc. (NYSE: GPS) reported a smaller than expected drop of 4% in January same store sales and forecast fourth quarter earnings ahead of estimates. Shares of the retailer soared $2.07 to close at $21.52.

SandRidge Energy Inc. (NYSE: SD) will pay approximately $1.27 billion in cash and stock to acquire Dynamic Offshore Resources. The stock price fell 76 cents to $7.08. 

First quarter earnings surged for Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. (Nasdaq: GMCR) to 66 cents per share from 2 cents per share in the year ago period to surpass analyst expectations by a wide margin due to strong holiday sales. Shares of the Keurig single serve brewer leaped $8.70 to $62.33.

Manitowoc Co. Inc. (NYSE: MTW) reversed year ago losses of 50 cents per share to post a better than expected profit for the fourth quarter of 12 cents per share as revenue climbed. The stock price gained $1.09 to close at $14.53.

Whirlpool Corp. (NYSE: WHR) reported higher fourth quarter earnings  of $2.62 per share compared with $2.19 per share last year and forecast 2012 profit ahead of estimates. Shares of the appliance maker jumped $7.32 to close at $61.64.

Quicksilver Resources Inc. (NYSE: KWK) will spend approximately $370 million for drilling and completion and related oil and gas activities in 2012. The stock price lost 30 cents to close at $4.71.

Fourth quarter earnings fell sharply for Amazon.com Inc. (Nasdaq: AMZN) to 38 cents per share from 91 cents per share a year earlier as expenses soared and revenue missed expectations by a wide margin. The online retailer also forecast disappointing first quarter results sending the stock price plunging $14.98 to close at $179.46.  

Corinthian Colleges Inc. (Nasdaq: COCO) reversed year ago losses of $1.94 per shares to post a better than expected profit for the second quarter of 2 cents per share and forecast current quarter results ahead of estimates. The stock price soared $1.10 to close at $4.13.

Seagate Technology (Nasdaq: STX) reported second quarter earnings that more than tripled to $1.28 per share from 31 cents per share in the year ago period to surpass analyst expectations by a wide margin. Shares of the hard drive maker leaped $4.39 to close at $25.53.
