Supervalu Warns Of Earnings Shortfall

Supervalu Inc. (NYSE: SVU) blamed lower consumer spending amidst the recession for warning that first quarter earnings will fall far short of analyst estimates. Shares of the grocery store operator tumbled $1.94 to $13.75.
